Do I really need to get trans tuning? or am I good with just your power tunes?

Hi Cooter,

Great question. It's most recommended to get the transmission tuning when you purchase our power tunes with the 4th Generation Cummins.

Its no secret, the 68rfe Trans is one of the sore spots from 4th gen Cummins owners. Soft shifts, poor lock strategy, and general lack of confidence are the common complaints from Ram owners who add power to this transmission.

Our transmission tunes are built to deliver the whole torque curve to the tires as soon as you feed the throttle.

With our TCM tuning, you'll benefit from the following:
-Increased line pressure for firmer shifts
-Improved shift schedule to improve mileage and take advantage of 6.7L torque
-Torque converter lock-up at low speeds with throttle apply

Over all you'll have a nicer, smoother driving Ram.
